Answers to common questions about Seefio for iPhone.

How does search work?

Seefio reads the photos and videos you give it access to and builds a private search index on your iPhone. When you search by words, voice, a photo or the camera, Seefio matches it against that index on your iPhone.

Nothing is uploaded. Seefio has no account and no servers, and your photos and searches are never sent to us or anyone else. While Seefio is still reading a large library, searches cover the photos it has read so far, and the progress shows in Settings.

Can I try it before I buy?

You can try 5 searches first. After that, a one-time purchase unlocks Seefio for good: unlimited searches by words, voice, photo or camera, plus clearing duplicate and blurry shots. There is no subscription.

How do I restore my purchase?

If you have bought Seefio before, on this iPhone or another one signed in with the same Apple Account, open Seefio, go to Settings and tap Restore purchase. You will see “Restored. Seefio is unlocked.” when it is done. You won't be charged again.

How does Seefio use faces, and how do I delete face data?

Finding people by face is off until you switch it on. When it is on, Seefio makes face fingerprints on your iPhone so it can find the same person across your library. Face data and the names you add never leave your iPhone.

To delete them, go to Settings in Seefio and turn off Find people by face. That deletes every face fingerprint and every name you have saved.

How do I delete the search index?

In Seefio, go to Settings, tap Delete the search index, then Delete index, faces and names. Your photos are not touched. Seefio closes, and reads your library again the next time you open it.

Deleting the app also deletes everything Seefio stored. The index is kept out of iCloud and computer backups.

My photos are in iCloud. Will Seefio use mobile data?

To build the index, Seefio reads the versions of your photos that are already on your iPhone, so indexing photos doesn't download them. When you open a full-size photo that is only in iCloud, or Seefio looks inside a video stored in iCloud, iOS fetches it from your own iCloud, which can use mobile data.

To keep Seefio to Wi-Fi, open the Settings app on your iPhone, find Seefio and turn off Mobile Data.
